Week Beginning 18.10.2121 October 2021 (by admin) |
We have had another great week in Reception this week. We finished the story On the Way Home and learnt some brilliant words which we can use in the classroom such as "gloomy" and "gasped" . The children have remembered what these words mean and we have tried to use them in our everyday life e.g. The weather is very gloomy.
In Maths this week we have been learning about pattern. We sang the song "clap your hands and wiggle your fingers to help us make a pattern using our different body parts. We made repeating patterns in the Lego and also by printing using potatoes. e.g. red, green, red, green. See if your child can create a pattern at home.
We loved performing our Harvest songs on Thursday. Our video is up on the website so make sure you have a look at our wonderful singing and dancing. We have also added some Harvest Festival photos in the gallery on the link for you to have a look at: https://www.wheldoninfants.co.uk/parents-1/events
In phonics we have learnt the sounds: th, z and ch.
I hope you all have a lovely half term and we will see you on Monday 1st November for our scary day!
