This week in Nursery we have been thinking about special celebrations and have enjoyed thinking about our birthdays. We made cards, invitations, and lists of things we would need to have at a birthday party. We have decorated birthday cakes, banners and balloons. We also loved sharing pictures from our own special birthday celebrations.

We continued to observe seasonal changes in our outdoor area and our Autumn spot where we met a little hedgehog who got an apple stuck on its spikes.

Our phonics learning has been based around the book ‘Hello from the Jungle’ and we have been using musical instruments to make sounds like the animals in our story. E.g. castanets to make a crocodile SNAP sound. Watch our story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-cIIj9V9Gg
