This week the children have enjoyed a visit from ‘Grandad Dave’ who the library invited to come. They had lots of fun singing, playing instruments and hearing poetry. They have also enjoyed an afternoon in Forest School where they were finding and observing different minibeasts.  In English we have been creating our own comic strip story about Traction Man where we drew pictures and added captions to our story. In maths we have been looking at number bonds and fact families to help us when we add and subtract. We have enjoyed learning how to do a log roll in gymnastics and have been keeping a steady pulse in music. In history we learned about schools in 1950 and compared them to today, if you know anyone who went to school then maybe your child could ask them what it was like. We have also been learning about life cycles in science and making a collage in art.
