We had another fantastic week of learning in Reception. We started our phonic lessons this week and the children have impressed us with their listening skills and how well they have remembered the first 5 phonic sounds we have taught. The children have then gone on the practice writing the sounds in different areas of provision. Well done reception keep up the hard work! In our talk through stories time we have read the story of the Owl Babies. The children were great at naming the characters and discussing the problem which occurred in the story. They also could join in with familiar phrases. We were also very proud of how well the children managed to sit and join in with their first ever whole school assembly on Friday morning.  Next week we begin our topic Me and My Community and we wanted to thank you for sending in a photo of your child's family to help be a stimulus for our circle time.
